It has been a while since I posted here. The past years as a university administrator were intense (and rewarding), and left me little time to write – especially since most of my research & writing time went into the Rewriting Global Orthodoxy project (ERC AdvG No. 834441) and its accompanying database the Four Corners of the World Library – updates coming soon. As of last summer, I’ve been back in research and teaching, and it is time to share a bit more of what I’m doing with whoever is interested in this rich field of research. I’ll continue posting in English, but I will include more in Dutch as well – not in the least because interest in Syriac Christians, Eastern and Oriental Christians, and Christians from the Middle East more generally, has increased also in the Netherlands.
